Abstract
In this study, the multi-body dynamics of the tractor according to the plow tillage were analyzed using a simulation model. The Recurdyn, a multibody dynamics software was used to develop the simulation model. The tractor model was simplified by simplifying the body, front axle, knuckle arm, and tire. In order to measure the load data, a load measurement system consists of four wheel torque meters and proximity sensors, and the field test was conducted by plow tillage on 100 × 40 m farmland in Dangjin, Chungnam, Korea. Tractor work was performed through auto guidance equipment. In Recurdyn, the tractor model was simulated by simplifying the model because the entire model took a long time for analysis. As a comparison of the field and simulation results, the error rate was 4.38, 6.48, 9.1, and 0.6% at the front wheel left, front wheel right, rear wheel left and rear wheel right, respectively. And the lateral error of the plow tillage was on an average –12.88 mm, maximum 7.63 mm, minimum –42.15 mm. In the future, it can be used as a test model after developing the controller and steering device of autonomous tractor.
